Bedrich Benes is a Professor and Associate Head of Computer Science at Purdue University. He received his Ph.D. from the Czech Technical University in Prague in 1998. Bedrich served as the papers co-chair for Eurographics 2017 and was a Program Committee Member for numerous conferences, including Siggraph and Siggraph Asia. Bedrich is a Fellow of the European Association for Computer Graphics (Eurographics) and a senior member of ACM and IEEE. He is the editor-in-chief of Elsevier Graphical Models and an associate editor of seven Journal Editorial Boards, including in Silico Plants (Oxford Academic), Computer Graphics Forum (Wiley), Computers & Graphics (Elsevier), Computer Animation and Virtual Worlds (Wiley), and IEEE Computer Graphics Applications. Bedrich was Editor in Chief of Computer Graphics Forum (Wiley) from 2018 to 2021.
