Katarzyna Mróz is an experienced researcher with a demonstrated history of working in the structural and building materials engineering. Author of over 40 scientific papers, which have been cited over 500 times (h-index = 11 in 2024, Scopus). She presents international activities by being a member of international groups: RILEM TC 306-CFR Concrete during Fire - Reassessment of the framework, TC 256-SPF: Spalling of concrete due to fire: testing and modelling and TC 227 – HPB Physical properties and behavior of High - Performance Concrete at a high temperature. A member of Construction Products Council RWB at the Polish Construction Products Department (2020-present). In 2013 and 2022 she undertook an internship at French laboratory CSTB (Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment). Awarded with the doctoral scholarship financed by the National Science Centre in Poland and with the scholarship for the outstanding young researchers by the Foundation for Polish Science. Organizer of the Scientific-Technical Conference MATBUD and International Workshop on Concrete Spalling due to Fire Exposure.
Her expertise lies in destructive and non-destructive assessment of building materials with a particular focus on their behavior in fire and post-fire conditions. I deal with concrete technology and alternative binders (geopolymer, AAM) development and design, properties testing and durability issues of building materials with special attention to fire condition.
