Catrin Rutland received her undergraduate degree from the University of Derby, UK, a Master’s degree from Technische Universität München, Germany, and a Ph.D. from the University of Nottingham. She undertook a post-doctoral research fellowship in the School of Medicine at the University of Nottingham before accepting tenure in Veterinary Medicine and Science. She has also achieved her MMedSci (Medical Education) and Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE). She currently is an Associate Professor of Anatomy and Developmental Genetics and a Sub-Dean for Postgraduate Research at the University of Nottingham, UK. Her research areas mainly focus on cardiovascular disorders (heart disease/blood vessels/angiogenesis) and anatomy in both humans and animals.
