Biography

I am an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, School of Medicine, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, and a Certified Clinical Densitometrist accredited by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD). My primary research interests lie in the field of musculoskeletal aging, with a specific focus on osteoporosis and sarcopenia. My work centers on the identification and validation of biomarkers associated with the aging process, particularly those linked to age-related bone loss and muscle decline. By understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying osteoporosis—such as altered bone remodeling, hormonal dysregulation, and metabolic disturbances—I aim to contribute to the development of early diagnostic tools and targeted therapeutic strategies. To achieve these goals, I employ metabolomics-based approaches, which enable comprehensive profiling of metabolic pathways and their deviations in pathological states. This systems-level perspective facilitates the identification of key metabolic signatures that not only serve as diagnostic markers but also provide insights into potential intervention points for disease modification. The integration of bone densitometry expertise with metabolomics and translational research methodologies allows me to explore novel approaches for fracture risk assessment, drug response prediction, and the prevention of osteoporosis-related complications. Ultimately, my research seeks to inform precision medicine strategie
