Mr. Fuggini is currently Head of Research and Innovation for the Infrastructure Business Unit of RINA. As such, he oversees all R&D&I activities of the business unit with an emphasis on security, critical infrastructure and resilience engineering. He completed his (B.Sc. and M.Sc) studies in civil engineering between 2000 and 2005, at the University of Pavia, from where he also received his PhD in 2010. Mr. Clemente Fuggini has +15 years of proven experience in risk engineering, disaster risk reduction and disaster risk management, vulnerability analysis and resilience of buildings and infrastructures. He has been involved in several international research and innovation projects, and he is the author of +70 papers published in peer-reviewed journals, books and conference proceedings. Mr. Fuggini is a member of the European Virtual Risk Institute (EU-VRI) and the Executive Board of the Infrastructure and Mobility Committee of the European Construction Technology Platform (ECTP).
