Dr. Časlav Livada is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology (FERIT) at J.J. Strossmayer University in Osijek, Croatia. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the same institution, with a focus on communications and informatics. His doctoral dissertation explored image compression methods based on partial differential equations with block sorting and symbol prediction. Dr. Livada's career at FERIT Osijek spans over a decade, progressing from Assistant (2008-2013) to Senior Assistant (2013-2015), Assistant Professor (2015-2020), and his current role as Associate Professor since 2020. His research interests include image processing, machine learning, ai, virtual and augmented reality. Dr. Livada has contributed to several national and EU-funded projects, including the implementation of the Croatian Qualifications Framework in computer science studies and the development of a joint ICT study program in agricultural sciences. Dr. Livada has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in prestigious journals. His most notable work, published in the Journal of Imaging (2023), addresses the challenges of analyzing thermographic radiometric data as images. He is an active member of the scientific community, serving on the program and scientific committees of international conferences such as the Organization and Maintenance Technology (OTO).
