Prof. Dr. Cosmin Alec Moldovan is a Senior General Surgeon and Head of the General Surgery Department at Witting Clinical Hospital, Bucharest, Romania. He is also Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Titu Maiorescu University. Prof. Moldovan completed his medical degree at Titu Maiorescu University, followed by a PhD at UMF Carol Davila, focusing on iatrogenic biliary injuries in laparoscopic surgery. He also holds Master’s degrees in engineering and biomaterials and criminal sciences. His research interests center on colorectal surgery, minimally invasive techniques, and AI applications in medicine.
