Prof. Chao-Tung Yang (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in computer science from Tunghai University, Taichung, Taiwan, in 1990, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1992 and 1996, respectively. He is a Lifetime Distinguished Professor of Computer Science with Tunghai University. His current research interests are cloud computing, big data, IoT, and edge computing. Dr. Yang won the Outstanding ICT Elite Award, Taiwan, R.O.C. in December 2018, and the K. T. Li Breakthrough Award from the Institute of Information and Computing Machinery in April 2022. He received the Outstanding Engineering Professor Award from the Chinese Institute of Engineers in May 2021, and the Outstanding Electrical Engineering Professor Award from the Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineers in December 2022. He obtained the Outstanding Alumni Award from the Department of Computer Science, National Chiao Tung University, in April 2021, and the Outstanding Alumni Award from Tunghai University in November 2022. He is serving on a number of international journal editorial boards.
