Sebastián Del Rosso, PhD, is a health scientist and exercise physiologist whose work integrates exercise science, cardiometabolic health, immunology, and translational biomedical research. He completed postdoctoral training in cardiovascular immunology at CIBICI-CONICET, Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, and holds a PhD in Health Sciences and an MSc in Physical Education with a specialization in exercise physiology and human performance. His current research focuses on immunometabolism, purinergic signaling, transcriptomics, and biomarkers in cardiometabolic and infectious diseases. His publication record includes original studies, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and methodological papers in international peer-reviewed journals, spanning topics such as exercise training, inflammation, cardiorespiratory fitness, type 2 diabetes, and immune responses. In parallel, he has extensive postgraduate teaching experience in biostatistics, public health, and exercise sciences, and has contributed to the scientific community as a reviewer, guest editor, and editorial board member. His broader academic interests include the application of computational and omics-based approaches to the study of exercise and disease-related biological mechanisms.
