Biography

Dr. Daniil V. Golubenko is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Prof. Yingchao Dong’s group at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. He graduated in Fundamental and Applied Chemistry from Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2017 and earned his Ph.D. from the Kurnakov Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry in 2021 under the supervision of Academician Andrey B. Yaroslavtsev, a full member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. His doctoral thesis was entitled “Synthesis and transport properties of ion-exchange membranes based on functional polymers radiation-grafted onto aliphatic films.” He subsequently worked as a Postdoctoral Associate with Prof. Nidal Hilal at New York University Abu Dhabi. His teaching experience includes inorganic chemistry workshops at HSE University (2020–2022) and supervision of undergraduate research at the Kurnakov Institute. His research focuses on the synthesis, modification, and characterization of membranes for selective ion transport, electrodialysis, and diffusion dialysis. His published work addresses monovalent-ion selectivity, acid recovery, phosphate recovery, and brine valorization. His current interests encompass inorganic and hybrid membranes, as well as molecular simulations of transport through membrane nanochannels.
