Dianne Scott is a social scientist with a focus on urban studies. She is currently an Honorary Research Associate of the University of Cape Town. Her expertise lies in urban development in the global South, urban and environmental governance, science and society, political ecology, transdisciplinary knowledge co-production and critical social theory. Her research focus is on urban water and climate change. She is currently contributing to the Fractal research project in the Climate Systems Analysis Group at UCT, working in Windhoek, Maputo and Lusaka. She recently published a co-edited book titled Mainstreaming Climate Change in Urban Development: Lessons from Cape Town.
