Diego Quintero Balbas is a Postdoc at the Heritage Science Grupo of the National Institute of Optics (CNR-INO) in Florence (Italy). His research focuses on the study and conservation of photographic materials, mainly daguerreotypes and gelatin-glass negatives, and the analysis of other cultural heritage objects with spectroscopic and optical techniques. He obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of Bologna (Italy) and his bachelor's degree in Conservation at ECRO in Mexico.
