Biography

Cancer biologist with a focus on applying advanced technologies to dissect complex metabolic dependencies of cancer cells in the tumour microenvironment (TME). Using Stimulated Raman Spectroscopy (SRS) to capture spatial metabolomics at a fine scale. This approach provides unique insights into the metabolic heterogeneity in the tumour and paracrine interactions that promote tumour growth and immune evasion. My expertise is built on a strong foundation in cancer biology, molecular techniques, and a new focus on LC-MS, flow cytometry, and R programming. In my PhD, I focused on deciphering tumour-intrinsic pathways that drive aggressive traits like metastasis and therapy resistance. My work identified TRPC6 as a key driver of therapy resistance in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC), a discovery honoured by the competitive Zelda Haidak Scholarship. I have a proven record of collaborative publications, mentorship, and extensive technical skills in mammalian cell culture, mouse models, and flow cytometry.
