Presidential elections are an important political event that often trigger intense debate. With more than 139 million users, YouTube serves as a significant platform for understanding public opinion through sentiment analysis. This study aimed to implement deep learning techniques for a multi-label sentiment analysis of comments on YouTube videos related to the 2024 Indonesian presidential election. Offering a fresh perspective compared to previous research that primarily employed traditional classification methods, this study classifies comments into eight emotional labels: anger, anticipation, disgust, joy, fear, sadness, surprise, and trust. By focusing on the emotional spectrum, this study provides a more nuanced understanding of public sentiment towards presidential candidates. The CRISP-DM method is applied, encompassing stages of business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, modeling, evaluation, and deployment, ensuring a systematic and comprehensive approach. This study employs a dataset comprising 32,000 comments, obtained via YouTube Data API, from the KPU and Najwa Shihab channels. The analysis is specifically centered on comments related to presidential candidate debates. Three deep learning models—Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM), and a hybrid model combining CNN and Bi-LSTM—are assessed using confusion matrix, Area Under the Curve (AUC), and Hamming loss metrics. The evaluation results demonstrate that the Bi-LSTM model achieved the highest accuracy with an AUC value of 0.91 and a Hamming loss of 0.08, indicating an excellent ability to classify sentiment with high precision and a low error rate. This innovative approach to multi-label sentiment analysis in the context of the 2024 Indonesian presidential election expands the insights into public sentiment towards candidates, offering valuable implications for political campaign strategies. Additionally, this research contributes to the fields of natural language processing and data mining by addressing the challenges associated with multi-label sentiment analysis.

This study presents a novel low-cost and low-power prepaid water meter system that combines tokenization and LC sensors to monitor water consumption accurately with mobile application via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity compared to conventional meters. Water meters play a vital role in monitoring water usage in Indonesia. Postpaid billing methods that rely on manual data recording are a source of concern due to potential inaccuracies caused by human error. This study presents the development of a prepaid water meter system that integrates LC sensors, BLE connectivity, a tokenization mechanism, and a mobile application to address this issue. The system offers a cost-effective solution by utilizing BLE + Global System for Mobile (GSM) from the user’s mobile phone. Using the design thinking methodology, the mobile application for the prepaid water meter achieved a usability testing score of 80. The load testing results for the back-end server, conducted with a sample size of 515 users, revealed a back-end latency of 1.973 milliseconds and an error rate of 8.74%. Furthermore, the LC sensors integrated into the PWM device showed an average error rate of 1.33%. The power consumption during each work cycle was measured at 129 mA and each battery is expected to last six years. Overall, with simple LC sensors, this system can precisely measure water usage.

Independent Campus, Freedom to Learn (ICFL) Program is one of the manifestations of student-centered learning. This program can help students reach their full potential by allowing them to pursue their passions and talents. This study aims to see how the segmentation of students participating in the ICFL program is based on demographic data. This research is based on survey responses from students participating in the ICFL program. The method used in this study is input data preparation, pre-processing, data cleansing, and data analysis. The information will be pre-processed before being utilized and evaluated. To help produce better outcomes in data clustering, the K-Means clustering approach is used, which is processed using the Python computer language. The data is clustered using the K-Means clustering approach based on gender characteristics, Grade Point Average (GPA), university entrance selection, ICFL category, and year or semester when participating in ICFL. This study resulted in three clusters with each of its criteria. The dominant gender is found in clusters 2 (100% female) and 3 (100% male). Software Development was the most popular ICFL category among students in cluster 1, accounting for 67%, while Design and Analysis Information Systems was the most popular in clusters 2 and 3. The most dominant ICFL program is found in three clusters. ICFL - Internship program in which at least 40% of participants come from each cluster. The research results are expected to assist stakeholders in evaluating the implementation of the ICFL program.
