Dr. Saudagar Dongare is a Research Associate in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), USA, where he also completed his postdoctoral studies. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, India. His research focuses on CO2 capture and electrochemical conversion using ionic liquids and nanostructured catalysts. He has published in leading journals including ACS Catalysis, Angewandte Chemie, Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS), and Chemical Society Reviews. Dr. Dongare has also contributed to studies in energy storage and electrochemical sensing. He is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS), the Electrochemical Society (ECS), and the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC), and serves as a reviewer for journals such as Journal of CO₂ Utilization, Chemical Engineering Journal, and Fuel. He has received several awards at national and international conferences and was nominated to the Energy Frontier Research Center (EFRC) Newsletter Board. His work has been recognized through nonimated presentations at U.S. Department of Energy EFRC Principal Investigator Meetings-2023. In addition to leading efforts in ionic liquid-mediated electrocatalysis, he actively mentors undergraduate, graduate, and high school researchers and contributes to advancing sustainable chemistry.
