I am currently a researcher at Embrapa Semiarid working with nanotechnology: development and characterization of nanomaterials and composites. I have experience in Physical Organic Chemistry, acting on the synthesis of polysaccharide derivatives such as trimethyl chitosan and carboxymethyl cellulose. I have studied the application of such polymers in postharvest, food, environmental, encapsulation, and controlled release areas, mainly as edible coating, minimally processed fruits, fungicides films, and decontamination of effluents.
