As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Sultan Qaboos University, I work at the intersection of sustainable energy systems, carbon capture technologies (CCUS), hydrogen infrastructure, and process enhancement. With a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and deep regional expertise in the Middle East's energy transition, my research focuses on practical and scalable solutions for low-carbon industrial systems. My current work explores: 🔹 Integrated refrigeration and liquefaction systems for clean hydrogen and biofuels 🔹 Techno-economic analysis of low-GWP refrigerants and cryogenic systems 🔹 Strategic CCUS infrastructure development and clean tech corridors between the US, GCC, and Asia 🔹 Writing thought leadership pieces on the carbon economy, green hydrogen, and climate diplomacy I collaborate with academia and industry to align cutting-edge science with Net Zero 2050 goals, helping transform research into policy-relevant and investment-worthy innovations. 📌 Highlights: 🔹 Published in peer-reviewed journals on CCUS, cryogenics, and hydrogen 🔹 Promoting engineering curriculum updates to prepare the next generation for the AI-energy nexus Let’s connect if you’re working on: 🔹 Sustainable energy transitions 🔹 Strategic research collaborations 🔹 Clean tech investments in MENA & beyond 📨 Reach out: m.islam1@squ.edu.com | mislamofficial01@gmail.com
