I am a Spanish medical oncologist at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. I am a hard worker and a very proactive and highly motivated researcher. I began to show interest in translational research in immuno-oncology in 2015, when I completed my final degree project on immune expression and its association with survival and response to PD1-PDL1 blockade in different solid tumors with Dr. Aleix Prat. At the beginning of 2019, during my oncology residency at Hospital Clínic, I joined the Translational Genomics and Targeted Therapeutics Group at IDIBAPS (Spain), led by Prof. Aleix Prat, as a clinician-scientist working on immuno-oncology research, focusing mainly on the identification of new biomarkers of response and/or resistance to treatment with immunotherapy in patients with solid tumors. So far, I have participated as a subinvestigator in two award-winning projects of the Spanish Society of Oncology Grant in Immuno-oncology. More recently, I’ve received an award from my institution (Fundació Clínic de Recerca Biomèdica), which will allow me to continue in this line of research as a Ph.D. researcher for at least two more years, leading a translational study based on the characterization of the immune microenvironment and circulating immune cells of patients included in the SOLTI-1904 ACROPOLI study.
