Dr. Elionio Galvão Frota holds a degree in Food Technology from the Federal Institute of Maranhão (IFMA), where he completed a research internship abroad at the Università degli Studi di Milano (CAPES). He has a master's degree in Food Science and Technology from the University of Passo Fundo (UPF) and a Ph.D. in Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP). He is a member of the Microbial Biomolecules Research Group at USP and the Spray Drying, Micro- and Nanoencapsulation, and Electrospinning Research Group at the Technological Research Institute of São Paulo (IPT). His research interests include applied microbiology, microencapsulation, enzyme immobilization, beverage, vegetable oils and their derivative technologies, and food analysis. More information can be found at https://orcid.org/0000-0002-0530-6477.
