I am highly interested to acadmeic and professional skills related to crop breeding, gene identification, and deployment of genomic resources for improving desired agronomic traits.
My current doctoral research includes QTL mapping and further identification of candidate genes in rice using advanced research approaches. In line with this, I always focused on plant genetics and phyisoIogy to elucidate plant response under stress. Furthermore, I also achieved practical skills and expertise on R programming by using essential R packages such as dplyr, tidyverse, ggplot2, lmer, Rqtl, edgeR etc.
During my PhD in Okayama University, I have learned phenotyping methods for seedling and reproductive stage salt tolerance, making new InDel markers, QTL analysis, fine mapping, RNA-seq analysis and Gene Ontology (GO) analysis to identify possible candidate genes in rice. Then, I gained practical insights on comprehensive transcriptomic studies to elucidate gene expression patterns in plants after prioritization of potential candidate genes. For validation stuides, I also performed cDNA sythesis and qPCR studies to confirm the candidate genes.
