Biography

I am a Chancellor's Fellow in Data Driven Innovation. My research focuses on the use of remote sensing to tackle the water-energy-environment trilemma. At present, I am using satellite data, in situ measurements, and machine learning techniques to investigate processes modelling the coastal environment. I am also interested in studying the interaction of marine energy converters and the ocean, as well as the relationship between these, social and environmental factors, and the built environment. I hold a PhD in Energy Systems & Dynamics of Biogeochemical Flows (Universities of Edinburgh and Granada). With a background in Civil Engineering and Environmental Hydraulics, I have experience in experimental and analytical modelling, Computational Fluid Dynamics, and data analysis.
