Mohammad Emran Hasan specialize in Geospatial Science with more than 9 years of experience with international and national organizations. As a CAS-TWAS Ph.D. Research Fellow, currently, Mr. Hasan is working at the Aerospace Information Research Institute (AIR), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Beijing, China. Prior to joining AIR-CAS, he worked with IUCN as a Geospatial Analyst (Project Development and Management Unit) for more than 6 years. Besides, he worked with other international organizations (e.g. Winrock, IUCN) under consultancy to support environmental conservation through Remote Sensing and GIS. Mr. Hasan holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Geography & Environment from the University of Dhaka. The whole professional career of Mr. Hasan reflects two of his basic research interest i.e. (i) Policy and decision support for environmental conservation through integrated Geospatial Analysis and modeling (ii) Project Design, Development, and Management to make the best use of geospatial tools in decision support and management.
