Eren Özceylan is a Professor of Industrial Engineering at Gaziantep University, Türkiye. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Industrial Engineering and his Ph.D. from Selçuk University in 2007, 2010, and 2013, respectively. He was a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Northeastern University, Boston, USA, during 2019–2020.
His research focuses on sustainable and closed-loop supply chains, reverse logistics, circular economy, disassembly line balancing, facility location, and digital and green transformation. He applies mathematical optimization, multi-criteria decision-making, fuzzy modeling, metaheuristics, and GIS-based analysis to production and logistics problems. His work also addresses Industry 4.0 maturity assessment, lean production, and decision support systems.
He has contributed to projects supported by TÜBİTAK, Erasmus+, and GIZ, serving as a project leader, researcher, advisor, and mentor. Alongside his academic research, he delivers professional training and supports industry projects in logistics, warehouse and inventory management, lean transformation, and digital transformation. His work connects operations research with practical solutions for more efficient and sustainable industrial systems.
