Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burçin Ergene is a researcher in the field of Pharmacognosy at Ankara University, Türkiye. She received her academic training in pharmaceutical sciences and has been actively involved in research on medicinal and aromatic plants, natural products, essential oils, and phytochemistry. Her research focuses on phytochemical characterization, chromatography, analytical methodologies, and the biological activities of plant-derived compounds. She has experience in the phytochemical profiling and bioactivity evaluation of essential oils and extracts obtained from medicinal plants. Dr. Ergene has authored and co-authored numerous scientific publications in the fields of pharmacognosy and natural products chemistry. Her current research continues to explore the chemistry and bioactivity of natural products with potential pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and industrial applications.
