Dr. Eduardo Rodriguez-Tello holds a degree in Computer Systems Engineering and a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the ITESM Campus Cuernavaca, where he graduated with honors in 1996 and 1999, respectively. After working for some software development companies, he obtained a scholarship from the mexican government for doing PhD studies in Computer Science at the University of Angers (France), where he graduated with honors in 2007. Currently he is an Associate Professor at CINVESTAV - Tamaulipas, where he has been working since April 2008. The research of Dr. Rodriguez-Tello is developed around the resolution of various Combinatorial Optimization Problems through the use of advanced metaheuristic algorithms. In particular, he has developed in collaboration with his coauthors algorithms to effectively solve NP-Hard problems in the following areas: a) Graph theory, b) Design of experiments, and c) Bioinformatics. His work includes more than 40 peer-reviewed publications in recognized indexed journals (European Journal of Operational Research, Computers & Operations Research, Information Sciences, etc.), book chapters and international conference proceedings (EvoCOP, GECCO, IEEE CEC, PPSN, etc.). Some of them have received awards (2nd place Best Paper Award MICAI2012, 2nd place Best Paper Award EA2009, 3rd Place Best Paper Award MICAI 2006) and collectively accumulate more than 227 effective bibliographic citations.
