He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and a member of the Computer Vision Applications research group at the University of Córdoba, Spain. His main research areas include Computer Graphics, Augmented and Virtual Reality, and Artificial Intelligence. He has authored high-quality contributions to artificial intelligence and computer vision, as well as virtual reality software, published in international journals indexed in the JCR. He has coordinated several European research projects focused on Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and Inclusion, including VRAILEXIA (supporting individuals with dyslexia), ISENSE (assisting those with deafness), and UNITE (developing inclusive virtual labs).
