Graduated in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2002), with a Master's degree in Pharmacy from the same institution (2004) and a Ph.D. in Pharmacy – Clinical Analysis from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of São Paulo (2011). Completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Graduate Program in Pharmacy (2012–2013). Served as a Visiting Professor at the Institute of Metabolic Science at the University of Cambridge through the CAPES PrInt Program (2020), where she also acted as the coordinator of the CAPES PrInt Subproject. Currently, she is an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Analysis and a Permanent Faculty Member of the Graduate Program in Pharmacy at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, where she serves as Deputy Coordinator. She leads the Adipose Tissue Immunobiology Laboratory and is a member of the Brazilian Society for Immunology.
