Associate Prof. Gongjian Fan currently serves as the Head of the Department of Food Science and Engineering at the College of Light Industry and Food Engineering, Nanjing Forestry University. He is also an expert at the Science and Technology Innovation Think Tank of the Jiangsu Society of Engineers. Since 2021, he has been serving as an Associate Editor for Food Research International, a top-tier journal in the field of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences. His research primarily focuses on the deep processing of forest foods and the storage & preservation of distinctive forest-derived fruits and vegetables. He has presided over and participated in more than 10 research projects, including sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program, projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and provincial key R&D programs. As a key contributor, he has received one Jiangsu Science and Technology Award, one Liangxi Forestry Science and Technology Award, and two China General Chamber of Commerce Science and Technology Awards.
