In the context of the Internet of Things (IoT), wireless sensor networks (WSNs) play a significant role by collecting and analyzing real-time data on consumer behavior, product availability, and other environmental factors, thus enhancing e-commerce operations. Researchers in the domain of consumer electronics are working actively to increase the sustainability of WSNs and decrease their ecological footprint by developing energy-efficient algorithms, data compression techniques, and sensor designs. These advancements are directed toward optimizing energy consumption and minimizing environmental consequences while ensuring the smooth functionality of IoT applications. Organizations are emphasizing the need for collaboration between designers, business organizations, developers, and regulatory authorities to implement eco-friendly industrial laws to enhance the effectiveness of the e-commerce industry. Decision-making in the e-commerce sector is complicated by information overload, subjectivity of preferences, trust issues, product variety, lack of personalized assistance, return and exchange concerns, dynamic pricing and discounts, limited sensory experience, and complex decision-making processes. To address these challenges, an entropy-based multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) approach is proposed to assist personalization in e-commerce and improve user interfaces, recommendation systems, product information transparency, and consumer trust. The utilization of the MCDM technique facilitates the customization of electronic commerce platforms, whereby affordable products can be identified and retrieved according to individual user preferences. The study investigates the impact of electronic gadgets and energy-efficient WSNs on inventory management, customer preferences, and online shopping sustainability, highlighting the intricate relationship between data privacy, energy efficiency, and governance. The proposed method is compared to other state-of-the-art methodologies and shown to be effective under various criteria.

In medical environments, a wireless body sensor network (WBSN) is used to operate remotely, and sensor nodes are employed. It consists of sensor nodes installed on a human body to monitor a patient’s condition, such as heartbeat, temperature, and blood sugar level, and are functionalized and controlled by remote devices. A WBSN consists of nodes that are actually sensors in nature and are operated with a short range of communication. These sensor nodes are fixed with limited computation power and the main concern is energy consumption and path loss. In this paper, we propose a new protocol named energy-efficient distance- and link-aware body area (EEDLABA) with a clustering mechanism and compare it with the current link-aware and energy-efficient body area (LAEEBA) and distance-aware relaying energy-efficient (DARE) routing protocols in a WBSN. The proposed protocol is an extended type of LAEEBA and DARE in which the positive features have been deployed. The clustering mechanism has been presented and deployed in EEDLABA for better performance. To solve these issues in LAEEBA and DARE, the EEDLABA protocol has been proposed to overcome these. Path loss and energy consumption are the major concerns in this network. For that purpose, the path loss and distance models are proposed in which the cluster head (CH) node, coordinator (C) node, and other nodes, for a total of nine nodes, are deployed on a human body. The results have been derived from MATLAB simulations in which the performance of the suggested EEDLABA has been observed in assessment with the LAEEBA and DARE. From the results, it has been concluded that the proposed protocol can perform well in the considered situations for WBSNs.

Cloud computing is characterized as a shared computing and communication infrastructure. It encourages the efficient and effective developmental processes that are carried out in various organizations. Cloud computing offers both possibilities and solutions of problems for outsourcing and management of software developmental operations across distinct geography. Cloud computing is adopted by organizations and application developers for developing quality software. The cloud has the significant impact on utilizing the artificial complexity required in developing and designing quality software. Software developmental organization prefers cloud computing for outsourcing tasks because of its available and scalable nature. Cloud computing is the ideal choice utilized for development modern software as they have provided a completely new way of developing real‐time cost‐effective, efficient, and quality software. Tenants (providers, developers, and consumers) are provided with platforms, software services, and infrastructure based on pay per use phenomenon. Cloud‐based software services are becoming increasingly popular, as observed by their widespread use. Cloud computing approach has drawn the interest of researchers and business because of its ability to provide a flexible and resourceful platform for development and deployment. To determine a cohesive understanding of the analyzed problems and solutions to improve the quality of software, the existing literature resources on cloud‐based software development should be analyzed and synthesized systematically. Keyword strings were formulated for analyzing relevant research articles from journals, book chapters, and conference papers. The research articles published in (2011–2021) various scientific databases were extracted and analyzed for retrieval of relevant research articles. A total of 97 research publications are examined in this SLR and are evaluated to be appropriate studies in explaining and discussing the proposed topic. The major emphasis of the presented systematic literature review (SLR) is to identify the participating entities of cloud‐based software development, challenges associated with adopting cloud for software developmental processes, and its significance to software industries and developers. This SLR will assist organizations, designers, and developers to develop and deploy user‐friendly, efficient, effective, and real time software applications.

The upcoming generation of communications can provide richer mobility, high data rate, reliable security, better quality of services, and supporting mobility requirements in the Internet of Things (IoT) environment. Integrating modern communication with IoT demands more secure, scalable, and resource-efficient mobility solutions for better business opportunities. In a massive 6G-enabled IoT environment, modern mobility solutions such as proxy mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) have the potential to provide enhanced mobility and resource efficiency. For supporting richer mobility, a cost-effective and resource-efficient mobility solution is required in a massive 6G-enabled IoT environment. The main objective of the presented study is to provide a resource-friendly mobility solution for supporting the effective integration of future communication in the massive IoT domain. In that context, a location-based, resource-efficient PMIPv6 extension protocol is proposed to provide resource efficiency in terms of required signaling, packet loss, and handover latency. To compare and analyze the proposed model’s effectiveness, mathematical equations are derived for the existing as well as for the proposed solution, and such equations are implemented. Based on the comparison among existing and proposed solutions, the results show that the proposed location-based service-oriented proxy mobile IPv6 extension is resource efficient for supporting mobility in 6G-enabled IoT.
