Francisco Alberto Sandoval Noreña received a B.S. degree in Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (UTPL), Ecuador, in 2008, an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), Brazil, in 2013, and a Ph.D. degree in Engineering (Applied Research Profile), with an excellent distinction, from École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS), Université du Québec, Canada, in 2019. He has been a faculty member at UTPL since 2008, contributing to teaching, research, and academic management in telecommunications and related engineering areas. His research has resulted in peer-reviewed publications in journals including IEEE Transactions on Communications and IEEE Access, and he has served as a reviewer for several IEEE and Elsevier journals. His research interests include wireless communications, communication theory, MIMO-OFDM systems, RF propagation, signal processing, Internet of Things (IoT), smart mobility, and computer networks.
