PhD candidate in neuroscience at Doxakis Lab (Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens) with a MSc in applied biology and biotechnology from the University of Ioannina. Seven years of experience in physiology and basic research laboratories. His current research focus is the delineation of the effect and mechanism of post-transcriptional regulation of alpha-synuclein by RNA-binding proteins. Extensive hands-on experience in molecular biology, as well as a variety of techniques ranging from rodent physiology to imaging, to NGS analysis. Training and coordination of both undergraduate and master students. He authored two publications at MDPI. Recipient of a 3-year PhD scholarship under the “Strengthening Human Resources Research Potential via Doctorate Research” project (MIS-5000432), implemented by the Greek State Scholarships Foundation.
