Information

François Chevalier, PhD, HDR, has a background in protein chemistry and molecular biology, and received his doctoral degree in biochemistry in 2001 from INRA, Nantes, France, for the biochemical characterization of glycated proteins. He held a 5-year post-doctoral research position in Montpellier (INRA, France) with a special focus on global analysis of proteins using two-dimensional electrophoresis and mass spectrometry. Following this, he held research positions in Cork (UCC, Ireland) studying protein quality using proteomics tools; he is currently employed at CEA (DRF-IRAMIS-CIMAP in Caen) as a team leader in radiation biology in the ARIA group (Applications in Radiobiology with Accelerated Ions) of UMR6252 CIMAP. He specializes in the biology of the radiation of radioresistant cancer models and bystander effects in the context of hadrontherapy.
