Professor of Scientific Methodology at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ). Research Coordinator at FCM/UERJ (Cabo Frio) and Head of the Health Informatics Laboratory (LabInfoS) and the Bertrand Russell Center for Scientific Excellence. Faculty member of the Graduate Program in Medical Sciences (PGCM/UERJ) and biostatistician at the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics (INTO). Trained in science, mathematics, biology, and nutrition, with MSc and PhD degrees in Biophysics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (with a degree from the University of Coimbra). Completed postdoctoral training in neuropathology at the MIND Institute, University of California, Davis, and served as a visiting researcher at the University of Coimbra. Recipient of national and international research fellowships. Co-author of books on neuroscience and brain nutrition, reviewer and editorial board member for leading journals, ad hoc consultant for NSERC (Canada), member of the International Society for Neurochemistry, with working proficiency in Python and R.
