Lorena Fuentes-Broto received her MSc in pharmacy from the Universidad de Salamanca and her BS in optics and optometry from the Universidad de Zaragoza. She received her PhD in biomedicine from the Universidad de Zaragoza. Her postdoctoral research was conducted at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, United States. She also received training at the Université Paris Sud-XI, France, and at the Georg-August-Universtät Göttingen, Germany. Dr. Fuentes-Broto is a tenured faculty member in the Medical School at the University of Zaragoza. She has published more than 50 indexed scientific articles, has been cited in more than 3500 investigations (the most cited article having more than 600 citations), and in total has an H index of 29 and an i10 index of 40. She has been the Vice Dean of Medicine at the Faculty of Health and Sports Sciences (2015-2017) and is currently the Secretary of the Technical Evaluation Commission of the University of Zaragoza (2018-present).
