Dr. Xiaoran Fu is an Assistant Research Fellow at the National Institute of Natural Hazards, Ministry of Emergency Management of China. He worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (2021–2023). He completed his PhD studies in Civil and Municipal Engineering at the Beijing University of Technology and has been awarded a first-grade scholarship and an outstanding provincial graduation thesis. He recently led the Open Project of the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Emergency Management of China and the Key Special Project of Science and Technology of Fujian Province. He has published 26 papers in various journals. His interests include hydrological model, flash flood warning, flood monitoring, and emergency management.
