Prof. Weijun Gao

Prof. Weijun Gao is currently a foreign academician of the Japan Academy of Engineering; a tenured professor of architecture at the Department of International Environmental Engineering, Kitakyushu City University; and a professor at the Coastal Human Settlement Environment Academic Innovation Center of Qingdao Technological University. He graduated from Tongji University in 1982 and obtained a master's degree in architectural environment from the Graduate School of Zhejiang University in 1987. In 1996, he obtained a doctorate in urban environment from the Department of Science and Engineering of Waseda University. He served as a professor of environmental space design at the Department of International Environmental Engineering, Kitakyushu City University, in 2007. In 2018, he was elected as a foreign academician of the Japan Academy of Engineering and served as a professor at Qingdao Technological University. Prof. Weijun Gao has been engaged in research in the fields of environmental architecture, circular architecture, and smart architecture for a long time. The research foundation, conditions, and results of the team are all in an international leading position.
