I graduated in Biomedicine from the Fluminense Federal University and furthered my studies with a master's and a doctorate in Parasitic Biology at the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (IOC) of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz). Throughout my academic and professional career, I focused on the field of Virology, specializing in the production of alternative antibodies in birds, specifically immunoglobulin Y (IgY). My experience covers a variety of viruses, with a focus on the following pathogens: rotavirus, SARS-CoV-2, hepatitis A virus, human papillomavirus, and herpesvirus. This experience has provided me with a deep understanding of the laboratory techniques required to study these viruses and develop effective control and prevention strategies.
