Mehdi Ghatee is a Full Professor of Computer Science in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), Iran. His primary research interests lie at the intersection of data science and intelligent transportation, including neural networks, deep learning, autonomous vehicles, and smart city technologies. With over 160 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, his highly cited works on neural networks and driving style evaluation have appeared in leading journals. He has served as Head of the Information and Communication Technology Center at his university and has led several national industrial projects for intelligent transportation systems across Iran. He is an editorial board member for multiple journals. His contributions have been recognized with several honors, including the Mofid grant for the best professors from the Vice President of Iran for Science and Technology Affairs, an appreciation from the president of Amirkabir University of Technology for best industrial projects, an Honor Plaque from the deputy of transportation and traffic of the mayor of Tehran as best researcher of intelligent transportation systems, an appreciation from the mayor of Tehran for launching the first BRT route, and an award from the Minister of Science, Research and Technology for improving cyber security indicators in 2024.
