Ph.D. in Biochemistry at Biocenter of University of Basel, Switzerland. My Ph.D. thesis opened the new field of novel molecular mechanisms of self-non-self-recognition based on glycan to glycan polyvalent interactions. I worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Basel and as an associate professor at the University Hospital of Basel and Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, USA. During this period I have developed the novel technology for measurements of binding force and specificity between single pair of molecules in a physiological solution using atomic force microscopy. For this work published in Nature and Science as the senior author, I was awarded Marcel Merieux Prize. I have obtained 1st Class full professorship at the University of Rouen, France in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and created my Gimmune GmbH company in Switzerland.. I have developed a novel immunological mechanism for the stimulation of NK human cell proliferation. I am currently occupying positions as the CEO of Gimmune GmbH located in Switzerland, as a university professor of immunology at Nanjing Medical University, and as the chief scientist at Libo in China.
