Dr. Carlos H. Grohmann is a Full Professor at the Institute of Astronomy, Geophysics and Atmospheric Sciences, Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil. He completed his PhD studies in Geotectonics at the Universidade de São Paulo, and has been awarded the 2009 Best Brazilian Doctoral Thesis in Geosciences awarded by the Brazilian Agency for Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). He currently leads the Project FAPESP #2023/11197-1 "Multi-Scale Geomorphometric Analysis of Mass Movements in São Sebastião (SP, Brazil)". He has published 80 papers in various journals, and serves as a Board Member of the International Society for Geomorphometry, as well as the Editor-in-Chief of the Brazilian Journal of Geology. His teaching disciplines include GIS and Remote Sensing, and his interests include Geomorphometry, Landslides, 3D modelling, lidar data processing and applications of drone-based data in the geosciences.
