Dariusz Halabowski is an early career researcher interested mainly in the effects of human activity on aquatic biota and biological interactions. In 2021, he received a PhD degree in the discipline of biological sciences. A few years earlier, he was a finalist of the Popularizer of Science competition. He has published over 20 scientific articles in prestigious scientific journals. Currently, he is a member of the Team of Hydrobiology and Water Monitoring at the Institute of Biology, Biotechnology and Environmental Protection, Faculty of Natural Sciences, the University of Silesia in Katowice. He is involved in many national and international research projects, including the LIFE project “Renaturalisation of inland delta of the Nida River”, COST Action “Conservation of freshwater mussels: a pan-European approach”, the EUROPONDS project, the PhytoPlastic project, and as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Lodz in NSC OPUS project “Does coevolutionary dynamics generate population-specific responses to invasive species?”. He also works as an educator in the Silesian Botanical Garden in Mikołów. His other scientific activities can be found on the USERN website: https://usern.tums.ac.ir/User/CV/Halabowski
