My research focuses on the pathogenic mechanisms of small DNA viruses in chronic diseases, with a particular emphasis on the regulatory roles of viral RNAs. By integrating molecular virology, epigenetics, and genomics, my work aims to: 1) identify and characterize key non-coding RNAs involved in viral pathogenesis; 2) elucidate the precise regulatory mechanisms governing viral RNA at both transcriptional and post-transcriptional levels; and 3) develop innovative therapeutic strategies that target these critical viral RNAs.
