Helinando Pequeno de Oliveira earned his BS in Electrical Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, received a MSc and DSc in Physics from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco and performed postdoctoral studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He began as an associate professor at the Universidade Federal do Vale do São Francisco in 2004 and has held the position of Full Professor since 2020. He has published more than 180 papers and is an inventor of 19 Brazilian patents. Fellow of the Academy of Sciences of Pernambuco (APC) - chair 19) and of the Advisory and Evaluation Experts Council of the Science and Technology Support Foundation (FACEPE).
