Dr. Hossam Hawash is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Zagazig University and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Egyptian Chinese University. He received his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence for the Internet of Things and has extensive research experience in deep learning, machine learning, and intelligent systems across diverse application domains. His current research interests lie at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, with a particular focus on Generative AI, Agentic AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), intelligent automation, and AI-driven cyber defense. His work aims to develop autonomous and adaptive intelligent systems for threat detection, network security, cyber resilience, and secure IoT environments. Dr. Hawash has authored numerous publications in leading international journals and conferences and has established a strong record of academic service. He has extensive editorial and peer-review experience, having completed hundreds of reviews for reputable journals, conferences, and publishers across the fields of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and computer science. His research seeks to bridge advanced AI methodologies with real-world challenges, contributing to the development of trustworthy, scalable, and resilient intelligent systems for next-generation digital infrastructures.
