Prof. Hyo-Jin Kang is an associate professor at the Department of Service Design Engineering and the head of the Human-centered Intelligent Service Design (HISD) Lab at Sungshin Women’s University in Seoul, South Korea. She earned a BS (2006) and a PhD (2016) in industrial design from KAIST and an MBA (2007) from the Sorbonne and Dauphine universities (funded by Renault Foundation). Her teaching disciplines include product-service system design, service measurement and evaluation, and HCI methodology. Her research interests include AI empathy, explainable AI, human-AI interaction, and service experience evaluation within the service design and HCI fields.
