Professor Jian Huang earned his M.D. in Immunology in 2001 from West China University of Medical Sciences (now part of Sichuan University). From 2005 to 2007, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Bioinformatics Center of Kyoto University, Japan. In 2009, he was appointed Full Professor at the School of Life Science and Technology, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), where he later served as Associate Dean from 2018 to 2022. His research has focused on computational immunology and translational medicine for many years, involving in the development of diagnostic kits, antibody drugs, and AI models and software of the trade. For example, he contributed to a Fc fusion drug called conbercept, which has been approved by CFDA for the treatment of AMD. At present, the total sales of conbercept is over 10 billion of RMB. He has published more than 100 papers. According to Google Scholar, his papers has been cited more than 6,700 times and his H-index reaches 46. He serves as an editorial board member of International Journal of Biological Sciences, Scientific Data, Current Medicinal Chemistry, and Interdisciplinary Sciences: Computational Life Science. He often serves as reviewer for over 80 international journals. Currently, he is both the vice president of Bioinformatics Society of Sichuan and the chairman of Professional Committee on Basic Immunology of Sichuan Immunology Society.
