Prof. Mohammad Jahazi is a Professor in the Mechanical
Engineering Department at École de Technologie Supérieure, Montreal, Canada. He
holds a Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from the McGill University in 1989.
His research has focused on the forming and thermomechanical processing of
metals, particularly high-strength alloys used in the transportation and
energy-production industries. He is particularly interested in studying the
evolution of the microstructure and related micromechanisms that influence
service properties. He regularly provides expert consulting services to the
industry. He also frequently acts as an external examiner for theses and as a
reviewer for scientific articles, and grant applications.
