Paula V Morais, Associate Professor with habilitation, PhD and habilitation in Microbiology at the Department of Life Sciences, University of Coimbra. She specializes in the microbiology of contaminated environments and develops innovative sustainable processes based on bacteria. Was the UC representative in the European Innovation Partnership (EIP) for raw materials; Member of the Assembly of the Faculty of Science and Technology and member of the Coordinating Committee of CEMMPRE in 2017/19 and 2022/24. Pedagogical activity as coordinator of the degree in Biochemistry (6 years). Currently, she is a member of the Portuguese Society of Microbiology board. Coordinator of the Bacteria Culture Collection at the University of Coimbra (UCCCB). She is the principal investigator in 2 international projects with the participation of companies in the area of raw materials and circular economy.
