Antonio Bellasi graduated from the
Medical School of the University of Milan, Italy, in October 2002. He finalized
his postgraduate training in nephrology and graduated from the University of
Milan in November 2007. He attended a cardio-nephrology research fellowship at
Tulane University in New Orleans (LA), U.S.A., and at Emory University in
Atlanta (GA), U.S.A. Furthermore, he completed a master’s in Epidemiology
and Statistics at the University of Milan in 2009 and a postgraduate doctorate
in Physiopathology, Pharmacology, and Therapy of Metabolic Diseases at the
University of Milan. He is a nephrology consultant at Ospedale Regionale
di Lugano, Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale. He is also currently a reviewer for
numerous journals, and he has served on the editorial board of numerous journals
in the fields of Nephrology, Cardio-Nephrology, Cardiology, and Internal
Medicine. He has coauthored numerous abstracts presented in numerous national
and international meetings. His research has been published in journals such as
Kidney International, Nephrology Dialysis and Transplantation, Clinical Journal
of the American Society of Nephrology, etc. In 2018, he co-founded the Italian
Association of Cardio-Nefrology, and he currently serves as vice president of
the association.
