Prof. Undurti N Das

Short CV of Dr Undurti N Das, MD, DSc, FAMS, FRSC Prof. Undurti N Das is a physician/scientist based both in the USA and India. His clinical interests include internal medicine with an emphasis on diabetology, endocrinology, rheumatology, and cancer. His research interests include polyunsaturated fatty acids, cytokines, free radicals, and their role in various diseases. Dr. Das is an M.D. in Internal Medicine from India, a DSc in biotechnology, a fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (New Delhi), and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, London. He is the recipient of the Shanti Swaroop Bhatnanagr prize in Medical Sciences, the highest scientific award in India. He has published more than 500 original research papers, authored four books, and currently is the Founding Editor of the Lipids in Health and Disease journal by BioMed Central, UK; Review Editor of Nutrition by Elsevier; and Academic Editor of Medicine. He is the President and CEO of UND Life Sciences of USA and Professor and Director of the BioScience Research Centre and Department of Medicine, GVP Medical College and Hospital, Visakhapatnam, India.
